Can I use a serial cable to play Age of Empires 2 against my friend on another computer?
… I do not use a hub to connect 2 computers, and I wonder if you connect 2 PC with a serial cable would allow me to play 1vs1 against another person on another computer?
Yes, simply click on the LAN link on the menu that you create the game and another person joins .. You can add as many players as you want, including computer drives and you and your friend may be on a team and team players on the other computer. Obviously, you need a copy of aoe2 for each team.
